Privacy Policy — FeedForward

Last updated: August 2026

FeedForward is a browser extension that reads RSS and Atom feeds. It is built to collect as close to nothing as possible.

What the extension does with your data

Your subscriptions, the articles fetched from them, and your read/unread state are stored locally in your browser using the browser's extension storage and never leave your device. The extension fetches the feeds you add, directly from their websites, to show you new articles. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no account, and no remote code. It sends nothing about you anywhere.

Permissions, explained

FeedForward requests no access to websites at install. When you add a feed, it asks your browser for permission for that feed's site only, so it can fetch new articles from it — and it can only reach the sites whose feeds you have added. You can revoke any of them at any time in your browser's extension settings. storage saves your feeds and read-state locally; alarms lets it check your feeds for new articles on a schedule in the background.

Payments

Pro upgrades are processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. When you choose to upgrade, ExtensionPay handles the checkout and stores the email address you provide to manage your licence; the extension only queries ExtensionPay to check whether your copy is licensed. We never see or store your card details. See the ExtensionPay privacy policy and the Stripe privacy policy.

Data sharing and sale

We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties, other than the payment processing described above. There is nothing else to share.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
